Dr Chris Fox has worked for the NHS as a Consultant since June 2001. He is active in research, teaching and training in mental health.

He advises on best practice. Dr Fox has an active caseload in adult and older persons mental health. He has worked for The Priory group since 2002, and is dual trained in general adult and old age psychiatry. He worked for the Ministry of Defence for 10 years and was involved in managing and assessing psychological injury patients as well as undertaking research. He is regularly involved in assessing parenting issues in adults with mental health difficulties and addictions and has been doing this for 7 years.

Dr Fox has special expertise in capacity assessment and is involved in regular instructions.

He assesses psychological injuries and has had 10 years of involvement in medicolegal assessments- including trauma, medical litigation. He has worked on immigration cases, and undertakes criminal fitness to plead assessments for prosecution and defence cases - 50%/50%.
